John Holloway is a sociologist and political theorist, trained in Great
Britain and now based in Puebla, Mexico. His books include State and
Capital, Post-Fordism and Social Form, and Global Capital, National
State, and the Politics of Money. Since moving to Mexico, he has been
particularly associated with the Zapatistas and their attempts to
rethink politics in Latin America. His books on this topic include
Zapatista! Reinventing Revolution in Mexico, and the much-discussed How
to Change the World without Taking Power.
