public panel with NAOMI KLEIN and local grassroots activists.

* Khaled Barakat is a Palestinian community poet, writer and 
activist, editor of the Vancouver-based Arabic newspaper 
al-Shorouq, member of Al Awda Palestinian Right of Return 
Coalition, and member of the Free Ahmad Sadat Campaign.

* Erika Del Carmen Fuchs is a Latin American researcher and 
organizer with Justicia for Migrant Workers BC, MST (Brazilian 
Landless Rural Workers Movement), People’s Front in Defense of 
the Land-Atenco, the Zapatistas/The Other Campaign, as well as 
other organizations in Brazil, Guatemala, Mexico, Ecuador and 
local movements with migrants and indigenous people.

* Harjap Grewal is an anti colonial and anti capitalist organizer 
working on migrant justice through No One Is Illegal, issues in 
the South Asian community, indigenous solidarity campaigns, 
advocacy in the DTES, and building resistance to the 2010 
Olympics, Security and Prosperity Partnership Agreement, and Tar 
Sands.

* Naomi Klein is an award-winning journalist, syndicated 
columnist and author of the New York Times and international 
bestseller, The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism 
and No Logo: Taking Aim at the Brand Bullies. She writes a 
regular column for The Nation and The Guardian that is syndicated 
internationally by The New York Times Syndicate.

* Sam McKay is a councillor and spokesperson of 
Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug (KI) in Northern Ontario. He was 
arrested and recently released from jail along with five other KI 
leaders who established a camp against mineral exploration on KI 
traditional lands. He will be in Vancouver, Coast Salish 
Territories as a delegate to the Symposium of Indigenous Human 
Rights and Environmental Activists.
