Frank Paul Rally
Monday,January 07,2008
12 noon - 1:00 pm

Organised by the Indigenous Action Movement:

"Social inequity and continuing to accept the victimization of our own,
does not befit us. We come from a proud and beautiful people. *

*We indigenous people refuse to accept these indignities, abuses and no
longer choose to be victims and slaves to domination. Racism and
discrimination are for fools and the ignorant. To continue to feel less
than by their actions is no longer acceptable. *

*The powers that be, worked diligently to exact its control over the
indigenous people of this land, and continue to do so to this day..
selling off our beautiful lands to infrastructure to such global interests
as the Olympics to further create blocks to our affirming and reclaiming
ownership. *

*What happened to Frank Paul proves the utter disregard for our people by
the so-called 'justice system.' **Frank is one of many who have fallen
victim to police abuse of power and we cannot let this slide by. Ignoring
or standing idly by waiting for the news is making the statement that his
death is of no importance and allows the genocide to continue with no
concern for consequences or accountability. *

*Stand with me to remind those who infringe upon our human rights and
freedoms as stated in the Declaration.. that *

*No justice for Frank Paul, for the 500 Missing Women, for Harriet
Nahanee.. *
**
*NO PEACE FOR 2010"*
**

*Reaffirming *also that indigenous peoples, in the exercise of their
rights, should be free from discrimination of any kind,
*Article 2* Draft Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples states
that *Indigenous individuals and peoples are free and equal to all other
individuals and peoples in dignity and rights, and have the right to be
free from any kind of adverse discrimination, in particular that based on
their indigenous origin or identity. *
