AN INDO-PAKISTAN PEACE RALLY
To pressure the Indian and Pakistani Governments not to escalate tensions
to a level which may lead to a nuclear war between the two, and will
result in heavy loss of innocent lives on both sides of the border, and to
resolve all dispute and issues through dialogue, the concerned
Indo-Pakistani community in Greater Vancouver has organized a peace rally.
DATE: Thursday 1 January 2009
TIME: 1:30 PM
LOCATION: Punjabi Market (Scott Road & 92 Avenue), Surrey
This is an opportunity for Indo-Pak community to show solidarity for peace
and NO for war and terrorism.

* Resolution from Punjabi Press Club of BC
Punjabi Press Club of BC has unanimously resolved to denounce war
mongering in the South Asian region. In support of the position taken by
the South Asia Editors and the Delhi Union of Journalists against the Indo
Pak war threat, the club urges the South Asian media outlets in Canada to
show restraint in reporting the developments taking place in that part of
the world.
