Anti-2010 Movement Organizing

All Indigenous people, anti-Olympic organizers and all community members
welcome!
Learn more about the impact of the Olympics, how to get involved and how we
can stop the Olympic destruction together!

* Presentations and short updates about the Olympic impact on
Skwxwú7mesh-ulh (Squamish) lands; gentrification in the Downtown Eastside;
and repressive border and national security policies.

*Participate in a meeting to organize our collective resistance to the 2010
Olympics.
*Light snacks Provided.

This meeting is being called under the slogan of "No Olympics on Stolen
Native Land". All community members, individuals, and groups are welcome to
attend. In particular, we encourage allies active in various groups and
movements to send 1-2 delegates to further strengthen our alliances across
diverse struggles.

We hope to continue to build on the diverse efforts to oppose the Olympics
and its impacts and request that people come with concrete thoughts and
proposals for actions, educational efforts, creative resistance, awareness
raising etc to undertake.

We also look forward to working together across our diverse experiences and
movements, while sharing a common understanding including an anti-colonial
and anti-capitalist analysis; respect for diversity of tactics and
strategies; an anti-oppression understanding and solidarity with those most
directly affected; and an organizational philosophy based on
decentralization and autonomy.
