James J. Brittain, Assistant Professor within the Department of Sociology
at Acadia University, Nova Scotia, Ph.D. in Sociology from the University
of New Brunswick, Canada. His primary research interests include the
praxis of social change within Latin America, the relevance of classical
social theory in contemporary society, and alternative forms of
international development. He has done extensive research on Colombia.

- Tom Burke, Coordinator for the Colombia Action Network (the group that
launched the highly successful Coca-Cola boycott campaign in the U.S. He
is a former Executive member of SEIU Local 73, in Illinois and Indiana,
U.S.

Current situation for the Colombian political prisoners.
The role of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez as a mediator for an
