Dear friends and comrades,

The editors of "Upping the Anti" invite you to submit proposals for
articles to be published in Issue 5 of Upping the Anti, which will be
launched in October of 2007. Upping the Anti is a radical journal
published by a pan-Canadian collective of activists and organizers. We
are dedicated to publishing radical theory and analysis, as well as
debates, roundtables, and interviews about struggles against capitalism,
imperialism, and all forms of oppression. We have been distributed widely
across Canada and the US. People have also picked us up in
Australia, Argentina, Cuba, England, France, Germany, India, Kenya, New
Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Singapore, Spain, and
Venezuela.

If you have an idea for an article or interview, we invite you to submit a
200-300 word proposal. The proposal should identify the main question you
plan to explore and how this question relates to the political vision of
our journal. We are particularly interested in publishing articles
pertaining to the development of revolutionary perspectives, as well as to
the problems and promise of anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, and
anti-oppression politics within the Canadian state today.

The deadlines for this issue are tight. Please send in your article
proposals by July 7. Completed drafts of articles are due on August 1. If
you're interested in writing an article but don't think you can meet our
March deadline, don't worry: it's never too early to submit an
abstract for Issue #6, which will be released in May of 2008.

Please send all abstracts, submissions and inquiries about our project to
uppingtheanti at gmail.com

Content from our previous issues is available online at
http://auto_sol.tao.ca/node/view/1084.

Guidelines for submission are available at

If you have any questions about the journal and the upcoming issue, or if
you want to help out by doing distribution or promotion, please let us
know.

In solidarity,
Aidan C., Tom K., Sharmeen K., and Andrew T.
