Day of Action to Stop Canadian Complicity in Torture

Rally: Tuesday, June 26, 5:30pm at VPL (Georgia & Homer)

June 26 is the United Nations Day in Support of
Victims of Torture. The StopWar.ca Coalition will be
marking this day with an action to protest Canada's
ongoing complicity in torture in both the war in
Afghanistan and the wider "war on terror".

Speakers to include:

-Bill Siksay, NDP MP for Burnaby North
-Valerie Zink, No One Is Illegal
-Bill Saunders, President of Vancouver & District Labour Council
-Don Wright, Amnesty International (Vancouver Chapter)
-Steven Klein, Students for a Democratic Society (UBC)
-Tom Sandborn, BC Civil Liberties Association
-Mable Elmore, StopWar co-chair

*There will also be a roving educational action throughout
the day on June 26. Meet at 12 noon at the VPL to participate.
