Rally, May 1, Tuesday: organized by the May Day 2007 Organizing Committee
and Status Coalition (Vancouver)*
----------------------
The May Day 2007 Organizing Committee was initiated by International League
of Peoples' Struggles (ILPS) participating organizations in Vancouver in
2006. It is made up of democratic and progressive individuals and
organizations coming together to carry out the following political work:
1. To expose and oppose the heightened attacks on workers in Canada under
the neo-liberal agenda, including the exploitation and oppression of
migrant, immigrant, and undocumented labour in Canada.
2. To reclaim the militant tradition of May 1.
3. To foster genuine solidarity between migrant, immigrant, undocumented
workers, Canadian workers, and all exploited and oppressed sectors in
Canadian society.
4. To continue to build international solidarity against the onslaught of
imperialist globalization among workers and oppressed people around the
world.
*We welcome and invite any individual or organization who agrees with the
above basis of unity to join the May Day 2007 Organizing Committee. Contact
us at ilps_canada at shawcable.com*
