This summer, the Human Rights Media Institute in collaboration with
many organizations is proud to present world renowned journalist and
author, Robert Fisk in a national fundraising tour. Robert Fisk,
internationally recognized journalist for the Independent of London,
speaks on his new book "The Great War for Civilization: The Conquest
of the Middle East".

The tour has been organized to raise funds for the Under the Olive
Tree radio exchange program. UOT in collaboration with I'lam the
Palestinian-Israeli media center in Nazareth within the 1948
territories and the International Middle East Media Center (IMEMC), a
Palestinian initiative based in Beit Sahour within the 1967
territories, will be sending two Palestinian youth from Canada to
intern in Palestine and bringing two Palestinians from Palestine to
intern with four radio stations in North America. The first leg of
the exchange program will start in July and we need your help.

The Human Rights Media Institute has also initiated a print publishing
project that enables us to train youth from various communities,
including Palestinians, on the use of professional print presses.
Through this program we are publishing Canada's only student run
magazine, Siafu. Students are learning the A-Z's of print publishing
and are also producing content that at the moment reaches all campuses
in Montreal and soon will expand to other cities.

Thanks to our local sponsors, Al-Awda, Palestine House, CAF, and SPHR.
