Issue #2 of Community Insurrection, a publication of the Anticapitalist
Community Forum-Vancouver, is out! It can be found for free through
various community organization offices or can be purchased for $3 from
both Spartacus and Peoples Co-op Book Stores. Its also online at
http://resist.ca/~acf-van, along with Issue #1 if you missed it. This
issue features an interview with an organizer of the Bus Riders Union, a
grassroots organization in Vancouver, as well as an article about the
Anti-Poverty Committee, a statement from No One is Illegal-Vancouver,
poetry, our community listings, and much more!
Community Insurrection is an exciting new addition to Vancouver print
media. It is a grassroots, community-focused, explicitly political
publication which appeals to both activists and people beginning to
develop their own political analyses of their experiences. Community
Insurrection prioritizes perspectives from exploited and oppressed
communities which are often not heard in other media, even that which
claims to be alternative.
To learn more about Community Insurrection, to get involved with
distribution, to request copies for an organization youre involved with,

exploited and oppressed communities, including aboriginal people, people
of colour, immigrants and refugees, working class people, women, people
with disabilities, and queer folk.
If you belong to an organization that would like to promote itself through
the magazine please let us know. This could be an advertisement for the
