Organized by La Surda Latin American Collective

An Invitation to Join Us on an Evening for Solidarity with the Peasantry
Movement in Colombia.

FENSUAGRO is the largest federation of farmers in Colombia comprising land
less peasants, small land owners-farmers, women’s, organic
producers, rural-agro associations which in coordination with indigenous
sectors, Afro-Colombian communities, the working-class and progressive
sectors of society, struggle in defence of the interests of the
impoverished rural population for an Agrarian Reform  and for the rights
of all Colombians  in the search for political solutions and for the
building of peace with social justice.

 FENSUAGRO will be celebrating  it's 30th Anniversary of Resistance and
Struggle this December, it will be a very important celebration of
courage, accomplishments and resistance as  its members have been
systematically targeted over the years by the establishment and the
paramilitaries in their
desperate attempts to impose the neo-liberal model. During the last ten
years, over 300 of its members have been assassinated or disappeared and
many more are jailed or have been forced to flee into exile.

Experienced in Communications and Documentary Film Making.

Documentaries:
“Sueños Postergados” / Postponed Dreams (Dubbed in English).  15 min.
documentary showing the peasantry struggles and resistance for the land in
the context of the anti capitalist resistance of the Colombian people.

“Tras las Huellas de la Resistencia” / Following the Foot Steps of Resistance
(Dubbed in English).  15 min. documentary showing the history of 30 years
of resistance of FENSUAGRO.

Following the speaker and the documentaries we will have a “fiesta in
solidarity”  with MC Rieek: Resistance Hip-Hop From Mexico .

Come and enjoy the food, the music, the drinks, and the good
company.
