[van-announce] ICTV Fundraiser: The News, Views and Blues...

Yo All.

On Thursday evening at 9:00pm, July 20th, ICTV - Independent Community 
Television Co-operative - is having a fundraiser at the Yale, entitled, The 
News, Views and Blues Benefit.

Entertainment will be provided by All Purpose, Space 9, Neil Cruickshank, Mike 
the Swan and S.R Duncan with Carlos Joe Costa.  There will be raffle items, a 
silent auction, door prizes, food and refreshments.  

Tickets are $10 for ICTV members; $15 for non-members.  All proceeds from this 
fundraiser will assist ICTV in producing community-initiated television that is 
broadcast by cable providers on their community access channels.

Since its inception in 1996, ICTV has been a very strong  supporter of the 
Vancouver arts community, profiling and presenting a vast array of local arts 
and artists that are often under-represented on commercial and public media. 

ICTV and ACCESS Association of Chinese Canadians for Equality and Soplidarity 
presented long-form reports of the on-going Chinese head-tax/exclusion redress 
struggle as well as current issues including Eagleridge Bluffs, the STATUS 
immigrant and refugee rights movement and the recent Aboriginal Day 
celebration.      
 
It's going to be a fun night at the Yale, but even if you cannot attend, please
