Get your crinoline ready, cuz East Van's antidote to Valentine's day is
back in full force. That's right kids, it's time once again for the
People's Prom!

The People's Prom, in case you've missed it in past years, is the prom you
never had in high school. It's cheap, it's fun and it's a radical
Valentine's day event where all proceeds raised goes into the People's
Trust Fund, which is used to fund individuals and groups doing grassroots
creative resistance or direct action work.

We need humans for:
. postering - they don't put themselves up
. set up - create the space
. clean up - help us get our damage deposit back
. chaperones - keep the peace, secure the vibe, make sure couples are
dancing one balloon-width apart
. the bar - pour drinks, take money, serving it right preferred
. the kissing booth - kiss people, break hearts, kissing it right required
. spin the bottle - new this year, a giant spin the bottle game!
. door - greet the kids, take their money
. coat check - be the first to glimpse the unveiling of hot prom outfits

For your time, you will get free entrance and a special gift. you can
volunteer as long as you like in as many areas as you like, but we need
you to commit to at least 1 hour. We will be having a volunteers meeting
on Monday Feb 13th at 8:30 that you need to attend, and where you'll get
your ticket.
