The Cedar Project: Exploring HIV related Vulnerability Among Aboriginal
Youth in Two Canadian Cities




JOB TITLE:	Interviewer/Counselor
at the Vancouver office in the Downtown Eastside.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The interviewer/counselor will be responsible for
administering questionnaires, providing health education and referrals
outreach to participants in the Vancouver and Prince George communities
and performing other related duties.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
•	High school graduation
•	Excellent communications skills
•	Ability to work well in a team setting
•	Ability to work independently
•	Experience/education in alcohol and drug counseling
•	Experience in HIV test counseling/education
•	Knowledge of the Vancouver and Prince George communities and its
resources •	Experience in the aboriginal community
•	Ability to work in an unstructured, flexible environment
•	Applicants with aboriginal ancestry are encouraged to apply
