The Cedar Project: Exploring HIV related Vulnerability Among Aboriginal
Youth in Two Canadian Cities
JOB TITLE: Interviewer/Counselor
at the Vancouver office in the Downtown Eastside.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The interviewer/counselor will be responsible for
administering questionnaires, providing health education and referrals
outreach to participants in the Vancouver and Prince George communities
and performing other related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
High school graduation
Excellent communications skills
Ability to work well in a team setting
Ability to work independently
Experience/education in alcohol and drug counseling
Experience in HIV test counseling/education
Knowledge of the Vancouver and Prince George communities and its
resources Experience in the aboriginal community
Ability to work in an unstructured, flexible environment
