Protest Sharon's visit to Canada and the Israeli occupation of Palestine

Monday, November 14, 5:30p.m. at the Vancouver Art Gallery (Robson side)

We encourage all supporters of Palestinian and human rights to join us in 
making
a strong show of opposition to Sharon's visit to Canada. The Palestine House 
in
Ontario is asking people to send in letters (see below) opposing the visit 
and Canada's
complicity in Israeli occupation.

Honorable Gentlemen,

Subject: Deny entry to Ariel Sharon or to arrest him

On Monday November 14 at 8 pm, Ariel Sharon, viewed by people around the 
world as a war criminal, is scheduled to speak at the United Jewish 
Communities General Assembly in Toronto.  Earlier that day, Canada's 
Minister of Justice Hon. Irwin Cotler will be speaking at the same event, 
thereby giving tacit Canadian Government support to the crimes against 
humanity committed by Ariel Sharon.

In view of Ariel Sharon's long record of crimes against humanity and in 
accordance with the statutes of Canada's Crimes Against Humanity and War 
Crimes Act, I join all Canadians who respect human rights and Canadian and 
International law in calling upon you to either deny entry to Ariel Sharon 
or to arrest him pursuant to the aforementioned Act.  Anything less would 
make Canada and Canadian MPs complicit in the crimes of Ariel Sharon.

Your immediate attention and action is greatly appreciated.
