UNTIL WHEN by Dahna Abourahme (Arabic/English
subtitles, 76 min)
With attention to the experiences of all generations,
but particularly that of today's youth, Dahna
Abourahme has directed a documentary which
insightfully and poetically articulates the
frustrations, fears and hopes of Palestinian refugees
living in Dhiesheh, a camp near Bethlehem, in the West
Bank. Here the Israel occupation and settlements are
intensifyingthough invisible in mainstream media,
unlike the joint Israeli-Hollywood block-buster
fantasy, disengagement from Gaza.
FALLUJAH April 2004 by Toshikuni DOI (Arabic w/English
subtitles, 55 min)
A documentary that chronicles the death and
destruction within Fallujah caused by U.S. Forces in
April 2003 and April 2004. Through eyewitness
accounts, director Toshikuni DOI exposes a side of the
U.S. war in Iraq not seen in mainstream media. Again
away from media reporting the war crimes of the sack
of Fallujah, are being repeated in other Iraqi cities.
