Why This Conference?

One of the most pervasive and debilitating effects of poverty globally is
ill health. There is an inextricable link between income inequality and
barriers to healthcare that can be easily seen here in BC, across Canada
and internationally. A group of organizers has put this conference
together to commemorate the grassroot struggle for better, more
accessible health care. We also hope to deepen our analysis of issues and
current practices by health providers and administrators that serve to
further oppression.
Please join us at this conference to discuss how these issues affect our
lives as individuals, and as a community.

Everyone welcome! Food will be provided.
Childcare is available - please contact organizers to confirm.
