Violence:  Policing the Struggle for Justice

All forms of resistance in Vancouver have been meeting with increasingly
brutal forms of police repression.  The Vancouver Police Department
(VPD) have made it clear that their priorities include marginalizing and
targeting people who voice their dissent.  They have engaged in a
campaign of creating a hostile environment for any opposition in the
city - doing their worst to frighten people away from otherwise
non-violent protest.

Come join us at the first Eastside Assembly as we review some recent
examples of police crackdown on activists, and discuss how the community
can respond.  

To win this fight, we must work together.  Come discuss how your
strengths and skills can help build the movement in Vancouver.
