Donations Requested for HIV Project in Haiti before May 11, 2005

If anyone has any medical supplies or donations for the nurses in Haiti
please leave them with:

Denise Thomas, Room 511, SPH
5th floor Burrard Building in the IDC Clinic at St Paul's Hospital

(or at NAOMI in the staff room)

Here is a list of some useful items requested by our nursing colleagues on
my last trip:

-tampons
-condoms
-non expired meds: antibiotics, especially STI meds, T3s or other
painkillers, Tylenol, infant Tylenol, iron, prenatal vitamins, birth
control, nystatin or fluconazole, etc.
-French HIV teaching materials or bilingual posters, books or diagrams
-condom teaching tools, diagrams
-volleyball jerseys or volleyballs (random request from the local high
school)
-old cell phones or any office/computer supplies for the PWA group

Of course cash or cheque is always a most useful item and helps cover food
costs and prevention work for the PWA support group!  Cheques can be made
out to Meaghan Thumath or call for info on charitable tax receipts via
CODEV.
