RALLY TO STOP THE DEPORTATIONS TO IRAN

The International Federation of Iranian Refugees and No One Is Illegal
will be rallying in solidarity with Iranian Refugees facing deportation. 
The Iranian Refugees will be rallying in North Vancouver, through a
prominent Iranian neighborhood, in order to mobilize and inform their own
community.  The support of all allies and supporters in encouraged in
order to amplify the demand to STOP THE DEPORTAION!

The deportation of Iranian Refugees has increased in the past few years
and the number of Iranian Refugees facing imminent deportation here in
Vancouver has been quickly increased in the past month.  The Canadian
government continues to apply a double standard on asylum seekers and
secretly or openly disregards our charter of rights.  Alan Rock, has
presented the case of human rights violations in Iran at the United
Nations earlier this year and after hearing testimony of Dr. Shahram Azam
on the horrific torture and brutal murder of Zahra Kazemi, journalist and
Canadian citizen of Iranian origin, the Canadian Government feels that
those fleeing the country after having their rights violated and lives
threatened can safely return.   Zahra Kazemi's case was an example of how
human rights are being violated and it was not an isolated incident.
Hundreds of people in Iran are arrested, detained, disappeared or executed
frequently.

Deporting these refugees is against human rights and is immoral and should
be stopped. We strongly urge you to join us to oppose the deportation of
all refugees in Canada.
