Original call-out:
PEOPLES INQUIRY INTO POLICE VIOLENCE
The Anti-Poverty Committee invites you to participate in our ongoing
forums titled the Peoples Inquiry into Police Violence. This month we
will be hosting 3 different forums to pay tribute to the International
Womens day, International day against Racism and the International day
against Police Brutality.
All forums will be held at Tellier Tower - 16 East Hastings Street at
6:30pm. Admission is by donation and child care will be available.
The first forum will bring together organisers from different communities
of colour who are under attack from the racist police. This forum will
take place on March 24th.
The second forum of the month will be a discussion and strategy session on
how to defend our communities from escalating violence from the police.
This forum will take place on March 30th.
The final forum will address police violence targeting women.
Representatives from organisations who are fighting violence against women
will speak to police brutality and police compliance. This forum will be
held on Wednesday, April 6th.
Prior to the weekly forum APC will send out a larger more articulate
e-mail informing you who will be speaking on the forum and what exact
topics will be discussed. For more info check out our website at
