An invitation to feminist events at UBC


 An invitation from the UBC Faculty of Education & The Department of
Educational Studies Two events with Dr. Helen Meekosha, Distinguished
Visiting Scholar in  Feminist Disability Studies, University of New South
Wales, Australia

 1. Community workshop
 Working with Women with Disabilities in the Community

This workshop will open a dialog with professionals and activists working
with women with disabilities in the community or concerned about the needs
of women with disabilities. It will cover issues women with disabilities
face. Among them are access and participation, support, organizational
issues, policy issues, professional and ethical issues.

 Where: St. John's College, Social Lounge, UBC, 2111 Lower Mall, Vancouver

 Date: June 22, 2005
Time: 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
