The Hip Hop Festival Against War and Occupation is an important development for the anti-war movement in Canada. Hip Hop has risen as a form of cultural resistance to imperialism from oppressed people within imperialist countries themselves to Palestine, throughout Latin America and around the world. As a means of cultural resistance, alongside strikes, demonstrations and all forms of resistance, hip hop has become an unavoidable element of the international anti-war movement.

June 8TH to 12TH join Mobilization Against War and Occupation for the first ever Hip Hop Festival Against War and Occupation in Vancouver.
More than 35 hip hop MCs, DJs, breakdance crews and graffiti artists will perform and participate in this not-to-be-missed festival against the occupation of Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Haiti and Indigenous nations in Canada.
