President Aristide's US Lawyer Speaks

Out Against the Coup in Haiti

Speakers:

Ira Kurzban is an attorney in Florida whose work in defense of
refugee and immigrants to the United States, in particular of
Haitian refugees, is widely recognized and awarded. He was for a
number of years the legal representative in the U.S. of governments
in Haiti under Presidents Aristide and Preval. He teaches law at the
University of Miami an is an outspoken critic of the illegal
February 29, 2004 coup in Haiti.



Anthony Fenton is a Vancouver-based activist in defense of the
Haitian people. He has thoroughly researched the role of the
Canadian government in the coup and its aftermath, and is the author
of numerous articles on the subject. He is a co-author of a
forthcoming book on Canada's role in the coup.
