Project Overview:
The Sustainable Campuses initiative is currently one of SYCs main focus areas

change on and beyond their campuses. The Sustainable Campuses initiative aims
to promote a systematic approach to change in campus academic and operational
practices. It supports students efforts to work within their educational
institutions to create permanent, institutionalized mechanisms to ensure
sustainability.
In 2003, the Sierra Youth Coalition launched this innovative project to assist

structural problems that will not only benefit the university, but society at
large. The Academia to Action Project offers support, resources and assistance
