To all people who want to fight police brutality:

We are a group that has come together to organize for the 9th
International Day Against Police Brutality on March 15th 2005. We are
calling ourselves the Action Group Against Police Brutality and we are
open to all people who agree with our organizing principles and want to
work for justice with those who are most directly affected by police
brutality. We want to build solidarity among those peoples who are on the
front lines of police brutality and we want to build solidarity between
all people who have been affected by police brutality, malfeasance,
corruption, and incompetence.

March 15th is an international day of protest open to all people who want
to take a stand and fight for justice for those who are oppressed and
brutalized by the police and security institutions. The first
international day was originally called jointly by the Montreal-based
Collectif oppose a la brutalite policiere (COBP) and the Swiss Anarchist
Black Cross after the brutal beating of two teenagers by the Swiss police.
It is in this spirit of international solidarity that we want to organize
this day, standing together against police brutality locally and
internationally, from the VPD's rampant shootings in the DTES to the
RCMP's involvement and complicity in the occupation of Haiti.
