[van-announce] Moderation reminder

Hey, van-announce subscribers:

I'm once again using my mistaken approval of a post to 
van-announce (a press release) as an opportunity to send an 
irregular moderator's reminder about what is and isn't 
appropriate for the list.

The van-announce list provides announcements of upcoming events 
in Vancouver and surrounding areas.  "Announcements" means just 
that, and so does "events".  In most circumstances, press 
releases, reportbacks, "statements" and other items of that 
nature will not be accepted.  News items should be forwarded to 
news at lists.resist.ca.

We also don't accept HTML, images, or other attached files. 
Sometimes the list software can strip out the extras, but 
sometimes it can't, so please send only plain text.

New contributors will generally receive a gentle reminder of the 
list rules if they submit items that are rejected.  Repeat 
senders of posts that do not meet the list guidelines will 
probably have the rejected posts deleted without comment.  If 
your posts are disappearing into the ether, this is probably why.
