Rally against VPDs war on the poor!
Wednesday Dec.14th @ 12:30
312 Hastings St. (cop shop)
The Anti-Poverty Committee (APC) and the West Coast Aboriginal Harm
Reduction Society (WAHRS) will be protesting the Vancouver Police
Departments (VPD) ongoing war against the poor at this month's Police
Board Meeting.
The APC, WHARS and other grassroots organizations have been engaged in an
escalating campaign against the VPD over the last two weeks. This
mobilization is a reaction to the VPD's announcement that they will
step-up their arrests and brutality targeted at drug users in the Downtown
Eastside.
Please support our rally and show your solidarity with the delegation we
will be sending inside to address the new police board chair and mayor Sam
Sullivan. We are united in our demands and our struggle against racist
profiling and all other forms of police violence!
