We would like to extend an open invitation to a meeting on Monday, August
29th to work on anti-racism organizing. Specifically, we wish to discuss
and address sexual racism in our communities - how to confront it,
educate people about it and work towards eliminating all forms of racism.
This group stared up as a result of many years of confronting it in our
different communities.

A recent article in XTRA West promoting the new book by Daniel Gawthrop
(Diaries of a Rice Queen) and the celebration surrounding the profound
racism inherent in the Rice Queen label and practices have moved us to
organize this meeting. We would like to build an organization that will
work towards developing analysis of this issue, and strategies for
confronting it.

If you cannot make it to this meeting time, but are interested in
participating please contact malliga at shaw.ca or peterlotion at hotmail.com or
call 604-325-3812
