Tell Foreign Affairs Minister Pierre Pettigrew:

Stop the repression and killings in Haiti!

Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Pierre Pettigrew will be in Vancouver 
on August 18. The Liberal government, under the leadership of Paul Martin 
and Pettigrew, has taken a central role in overthrowing the constitutional 
government and the elected president in Haiti. Further, the Minister is well 
aware of the atrocious and systemic abuse of human rights and killings that 
are being carried out against supporters of Aristide’s return. Pettigrew, 
though, has dismissed human rights reports as “propaganda.”

The Young Liberals are hosting a reception and discussion with Pierre 
Pettigrew on August 18. Please join us for a picket outside as we make known 
our opposition to the coup d’etat, and demand the restoration of the 
constitutional government of Haiti.
