Mayday 2004 will go down in Vancouver history as a proud example of what solidarity among working and poor people looks like. That day more than 10,000 working and poor people rallied on the international workers day in support of the Hospital Employees Union strike against the BC Liberal Government. This year, the march and rally will emphasize solidarity with and support of the important struggle of the Telecommunication Workers Union against Telus along with the demands:

STOP the Campbell Government!

STOP attacks on Workers at home and abroad! 

 

Expressing our unity through mobilization on Mayday is as important today under the neo-liberal Campbell government as it ever has been. We are calling all poor, working and oppressed people to join us on Mayday to celebrate our power and fight for change!
