So... my friend Katie Rose lives in a house with a beautiful and historic
garden (100 years old!) and a tiny elf-sized cob house built in the corner
of the garden. Two other friends of mine lived in that house over the years
before Katie did (this is where Ianna's Kitchen first started) so I know
that garden well. And now, developers have bought the land and want to tear
down this historic landmark. There is a petition going around town (and
around the internet) that you can sign. check the website at

Come out and play with us this Saturday April the 30th and help us celebrate
the beauty of our cob garden, the fun of dancing with friends and neighbours
in the sun and the joy of being alive! IT'S FREE!
Plant some seeds, eat organic food while listening to the music of DJ's and
other folky people. This is an awareness raising block party to let the
community know of the pending development on this awe-inspiring garden
complete with a little cob house. The Park Board of Vancouver is eager to
acquire this valuable property but the owner's, Niebuhr Construction are
intent to develop. We would like to see this garden retained to become a
community garden. So come join us and plant some seeds, relax and see what
we are all talking about!
We hope to see you there !
co hosted by the Work Less Party
Organic food provided by: East End Food Co-op, Drive Organics, Eternal
Abundance, Roots Café and Uprising Bakery
