The Wilderness Committee is hosting an event that I believe is of interest
to you!

On April 12 we are inviting our volunteers, members and the general public
to attend a discussion on what the challenges currently facing the Fraser
Valley are and how we can maintain the valley as a livable region for
communities and ecosystems.

We have invited Dave Fields from Citizens Concerned with Highway Expansion
to talk about the BC provincial government's plan to expand the #1 Highway between Vancouver and Langley
and twin the Port Mann Bridge; Nik Cuff from the WCWC will share research
that he has done on the Fraser Valley Agricultural Land Reserve and how
land removal from the ALR has skyrocketed in the last few years; and Gwen
Barlee, also WCWC, will talk about the implications of raw log exports on
local communities and endangered species habitat.

Please join us for this great event on April 12 at 7 pm!

The location is 341 Water Street, 4th Floor and the event is FREE.

We hope to see you there!

Louise A. Pedersen
