Here's a brief update: I just returned from in front of the Cop
Shop on Main and there were around a dozen folk still vigiling
there. As of about 7:30 PM, the three arrested comrades have not
been released. They will either see a JP tonight and be released
or (more likely) see one tommorow.

One person has been charged with "assault police," another with
"mischief," and the third with "obstruction."

The cops were being really aggressive today; at one point, while
marching down Hastings, a motorcycle pig kept gunning his bike at
a young woman with her dog. The dog was, quite naturally,
freaking out and the young woman yelled at the cop. Another pig
on horseback threatned to pepper spray her taking his pepper
spray cannister from his utility belt. Another young woman was
momentarily detained to "prove" that her bike wasn't stolen. When
we started vigiling in front on the cop shop, the cops gave a
cheesy "J-Walking" ticket to a young woman (nobody else was
ticketed).

Of course, I'll keep everybody up to speed regarding any new
information or any court/jail support that may be happening.

Cheers,

--C.W.
