PUBLIC MEETING ON THE RECENT CONVERGENCE AGAINST SUN PEAKS

A public meeting will be held this Friday for an update regarding the
recent developments in the Skwelkwek'welt Defenders fight against Sun
Peaks Ski Resort.

This will include brief presentations/ talks by Skwelkwek'welt camp
defenders traveling to Vancouver, a video will be shown from the Aug. 29th
convergence, and followed by an open discussion about building a sustained
campaign in Vancouver, such as a targeted economic boycott campaign,
against the development at Sun Peaks and the devastating onslaught of the
Olympics from unceded indigenous territories to the gentrification of the
downtown East side of Vancouver.
