enjoy safety and comfort in the car free stace that we create by simply 
riding together. for addeded safety, have a costume which keeps your head 
clear so you can see where you are going. bikes do crash into one another 
occasionally - be careful

starting when it gets dark, ending when it is almost light but still dark
prizes for best costume, dancing and music and some fireworks? libations

Flaming Choppers of Death vs. SUV
Saturday, Oct 30, 7:30 pm
at Parade of Lost Souls
North-West corner of Brittania Field

Last year skeletons on flaming choppers burnt an SUV, cheered on by the 
frenzied crowd. This year, expect even more fire and death from PedalPlay 
Masterminds, busy engineering the artistic collapse of the fossil fuel era. 
Don't try this one at home kids, and don't miss it! Volunteers Needed

Halloween Night, October 31st.
don't run over the cars kids. watch for munchkins when riding. brush your 
teeth. supposeddly a party at The Butcher Shop Floor [26th and Main] early
from 5-10pm fundraiser with music and art. also a million other parties.

And in case you didn't already know about the scary scary news. The BC 
government is now attempting to ram through an 8 lane 'free'way from Fort 
Langley to East Vancouver. They plan to not ask permission from local city 
governments. This is part of the twinning the Port Mann $4 Billion dollar
plan. Gotta be done by 2010 they say. The last time this was attempted - 
they wanted a motorway along the present seawall and through strathcona 
neighbourhood - in the early 70s - well... in response an amazing coalition 
formed and built a beautiful neighbourhood and the motorway was stopped, 
and the government hasn't dared build a large highway through vancouver 
until now. Now it is our turn to defend our city. Road Removal Creates Jobs!
Let's use our momentum to remove the whole damn highway.
