Tenzin Delek Rinpoche, a highly respected Buddhist monk from Eastern Tibet, was
sentenced to death on December 2nd, 2002 on unproven bombing charges. Human
rights organizations around the world believe Tenzin Delek Rinpoche was
framed because he is viewed by the Chinese (PRC) government as a threat to
their control over Eastern Tibet. Tenzin Delek could be executed anytime
after December 2nd, 2004. By participating in the actions below, you can
help save Tenzin Delek's life.
1. A rally and candlelight vigil on Thurs 2 Dec 2004, from 3 pm-dark at the
Chinese Consulate (Granville and 16th - South East side )
2. A silent rally and street theatre on Fri 10 Dec 2004
(International Human Rights Day) from 10am-noon, also at the Chinese Consulate. Please
bring a message of support for Tenzin Delek to be delivered to the Chinese Consulate
