Rally and March 

On Monday May 3rd, 2004, hospital workers across BC were feeling frustration, 
disbelief and anger. Overwhelmingly they rejected the "deal" 
that was made late Sunday night to end the HEU job action and the massive 
province wide strikes planned by unions across BC. 

Workers are now figuring out how to regroup and move forward. Further actions are 
planned including a picket at the BC Federation of Labour Offices Friday May 
7th at 8:00am and a demonstration Saturday May 8th at 12:30 starting at the 
Art Gallery. 

Copies of the poster and leaflett will also be available for pick-up after 1pm 
Wednesday at the People's Co-op Bookstore on Commercial Drive, Ken's at 
1237 Salsbury (big mailbox), and at the WISE Hall (for night time 
postering). 
Leafleting will be happening at the Broadway and Commercial Skytrain Station at 4 pm 
(Wed, Thurs, Fri) - people will be there with leaflets and need folks to come 
by and help (possibly spread out to more stations). 

Poster runs will be going out from the meeting space (692 E. Hastings) every night at 
7:00 pm. We need drivers and paste and brushes. 

People will also be going out to hospitals and other HEU sites to outreach with 
workers. If you can go to any locations please coordinate with Ivan 
(ivanddrury at yahoo.ca) or Mark (markdahl at fivethreesix.com), as we are 
trying to ensure we get out to the most locations as possible. 

CALL OUT TO EVERYONE IN SUPPORT OF HOSPITAL EMPLOYEES UNION WORKERS!!! 



The leaflett and poster for Saturday's demo is available for download at 
http://resist.ca/~cshw. There will be co-ordinated leafletting and 
postering every evening this week.
