THURSDAY, MARCH 25 7:30pm
ISM MOVIE NIGHT AT THE CENTRE
Location: Palestine Community Center, 1874 Kingsway (near Victoria)
Cost: By donation ($2 - $5 sliding scale)
"Right to Education," "Shebab Dayia" (Lost Youth) and "Rachel Corrie 
Memorial"
This is the only place you can see these videos with incredible 
frontline footage shot by ISM and IWPS activists.

ISM will be having movie nights at the Palestine Centre on the 4th 
Thursday of every month. Upcoming features: April 22- Jenin Jenin, May 
27- Gaza Strip

SATURDAY & SUNDAY, MARCH 27-28
ISM NON-VIOLENT DIRECT ACTION (NVDA) TRAINING WEEKEND FOR PALESTINE 
VOLUNTEERS
Location: Palestine Community Centre
Times: Saturday March 27 9am-6:30pm and Saturday March 28 9am-5pm
Cost: $5-$25 Sliding Scale
Please register by email before March 23: info at ism-vancouver.org

***This training is now required for people who want to volunteer with 
the ISM in Palestine.*** If you have any interest in going to Palestine 
as an ISM activist in the next six months, you need to attend this 
training. The next ISM Vancouver training will be in the fall.

The training is also open to anyone who wants to find out more about 
the ISM, the situation in the Occupied Territories, or direct action 
solidarity work or human rights monitoring.

Training topics include:
Human rights monitoring *  Legal briefing & arrest support * Cultural 
considerations * Role-plays of possible scenarios * Preparation, travel 
tips, logistics * ISM structure and role of ISM activist * Non-violence 
principles * Media work & communications * Addressing your hopes & 
fears * Direct-action strategies * Consensus decision making process * 
Risk reduction & first aid for demos

LIVE FROM OCCUPIED PALESTINE
Location: SFU Harbour Centre, Labatt's Theatre
Presentation by Jon Elmer & Valerie Zink, founders of the excellent 
website FromOccupiedPalestine.org. These two Canadians recently 
returned from three months in Israel and Palestine interviewing 
activists, intellectuals and people from all walks of life.
