IWD: Soup Kitchen and Mock Funeral

Where:
Gordon Campbell's Constituency Office, 3615 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver

When:
Monday, 8th of March 2004 from 12:00 PM until approximately 2:00 PM


This year's International Women's Day will be one of the darkest days for many 
women in our community. 

Join us this IWD as we raise our voices against:
* 100% cuts in core funding to all 37 BC Women Centres,
* increasing tuition and cuts to BC student grants making it impossible for 
single mothers and low income women to get and education without increased 
debt, and 
* privatizion of healthcare and the slashing of jobs predominated by women workers.
* cuts to welfare and legal aid

We welcome your presence and invite you to participate by wearing red and black 
and sharing your experiences of Women's Centres in BC. We will also be 
serving up Campbell's soup for all who drop by! We will be having a mock 
funeral to mourn all that we are losing our communities.
