We Need Femme Voices!!
Call for Submissions!

PLEASE DISTRIBUTE WIDELY AND QUICKLY

We, the Femme Affinity Group (in Vancouver, BC,
Canada), are asking for submissions for a zine we are
putting together for pride.  

We’re looking for anything and everything FEMME.

WHO: The zine is open to whomever would like to
contribute.  Straight femmes, queer femmes, boy/boi
femmes, girl/grrl femmes.  Femmes from all backgrounds
and experiences.  Anyone who identifies as femme or
feels that femmes have had an impact on
their life, or just feels that have something to say
about the topic of femme.

WHAT: Anything femme positive. Writing, ranting,
drawing (line art is easiest to photocopy) Opinion,
fact, fiction, whatever femme inspires you to create. 
some themes:  femme, femme identity and diversity,
visibility and Invisibility, community, politics,
activism, queer femmes, trans femmes, bi, pansexual,
str8 femmes, sexuality, empowerment, gender freedom,
feminism, sexism, racism and classism in the queer
community

WHAT ELSE: all contributors are asked to please add a
short bio to their pieces 

WHERE: please send submissions to

access or have something you can’t e-mail (drawings
maybe?), please call 604-876-7846 to figure out how to
get it to us.

WHEN: Submissions MUST be in by Friday, July 23. We
know it’s short notice, but otherwise there's no way
we will get the layout and copying done by pride.  

MORE ABOUT US:  FAG--and our zine-- empowers
communities and stands for freedom and expression.  We
are explicitly working against all the
nasties--heterosexism, homophobia, transphobia,
bi-phobia, femmephobia, racism, classism, sexism.

It's awesome to speak with our own words about our own
lives and expose myths, prejudice and stereotypes
