August StopWar activites: volunteers and activists needed!

Pride Parade: Sunday, August 1.  StopWar.ca will be carrying our banner and handing out leaflets.  Let's make it a good contingent!  If you can make it, meet up at 10:15a.m. on Alberni between Denman and Bidwell.

StopWar.ca General Meeting: Wednesday, August 4, 5:30p.m. Maritime Labour Centre (111 Victoria Drive)

Remembering Hiroshima, An Intercultural Commemoration and Concert: Friday, August 6, 7:30p.m. at National Nikkei Heritage Centre, 6688 Southoaks Crescent Burnaby, BC(The Centre is located near Kingsway and Sperling.  Underground parking is available.) 

Under the Volcano: Sunday, August 8.  All day, Cates Park in North Vancouver.  Volunteers needed to staff the StopWar.ca table.  

StopWar.ca General Meeting: Wednesday, August 18, 5:30p.m. at Maritime Labour Centre

Venezuela Forum: Thursday, August 19, 7p.m., location to be announced shortly.
A panel and discussion of the results of the August 15 referendum, and the dangers of U.S. intervention.  Organized by StopWar.ca Latin America & Caribbean committee.
