ISM NON-VIOLENT DIRECT ACTION (NVDA) TRAINING WEEKEND FOR PALESTINE 
VOLUNTEERS
Location: TBA
Times: Saturday July 31 9am-5pm and Saturday Aug 1 9am-5pm
Cost: $5-$25 Sliding Scale

***This training is now required for people who want to volunteer with 
the ISM in Palestine.***

If you have any interest in going to Palestine as an ISM activist in 
the next six months, you need to attend this training. The next ISM 
Vancouver training will be in the fall.

The training is also open to anyone who wants to find out more about 
the ISM, the situation in the Occupied Territories, or direct action 
solidarity work or human rights monitoring.

Training topics include:
Human rights monitoring *  Legal briefing & arrest support * Cultural 
considerations * Role-plays of possible scenarios * Preparation, travel 
tips, logistics * ISM structure and role of ISM activist * Non-violence 
principles * Media work & communications * Addressing your hopes & 
fears * Direct-action strategies * Consensus decision making process * 
Risk reduction & first aid for demos
