The South Asian Youth Alliance (SAYA) is hosting a series of community forums
aimed at bringing attention to the political economy and impacts of the 'War
on Terror' in South Asia, how it has impacted South Asians in Canada, and
Canadian interests in pursuing the War on Terror on the South Asian
subcontinent. The objectives of these
forums are to collectively deepen our understanding of the underlying motives for
the war on terror in the context of international trade and geo-political
powers actively struggling for dominance in Asia; and to serve
as a catalyst for bringing together diverse sectors of the South Asian
diaspora so as to effect a more harmonized community response to the war on
terror.
