The Anti ? Poverty Committee invites you to attend a conference entitled
Refuse to Retreat from February 21 - 22, 2004.

The conference will include workshops on
?	Labor Struggles
	Building Alliances
?	Against Imperialism
?	Indigenous Sovereignty
?	Women?s Liberation
?	Refugee/Immigrants Fight Back
?	Welfare Rights

Under the BC Liberals, the attack on all unemployed poor and working poor
has intensified.  The Liberals latest wave of assault is the 2- Year
welfare time limit. Over the last few months many individuals and groups
have been working together in solidarity to build a coalition and a
community resistance to fight this government, and to organize to rescind
this oppressive welfare legislation.

The weekend will focus around emphasizing each others active forms of
fight back, community organizing, education and outreach. The conference
will center on alliance building, creating solidarity and building
strength between individuals and groups, with the long term goal of
strengthening the common front of resistance.

Child care and events for children will be available.
Wheelchair accessible.

Bus Tickets and Meals and Snacks will be provided for those attending the
conference.

Entrance is by donation, and no one will be turned away.
We ask that if you will require child care to call ahead.
