Assessing the BC Welfare Cuts & the Two-Year Time Limits

A FREE Talk by Seth Klein

Seth Klein, the BC Director of the Canadian Centre for Policy
Alternatives, will review the major changes to BC's welfare policies,
discuss lessons from the US experience with welfare reform, highlight
the impacts of BC's policy changes, and outline why welfare time limits
should be rescinded.

Note: bus tickets will be available at the talk to assist with

Every Monday the People With Disabilities Union(PWDEU) will be at the
Income Assistance office from 11:30 - 1:30 handing out leaflets about
the pending cuts. They would welcome advocates to come and join them and
  encourage them to help clients to fill out their welfare forms.
