This weekend the "Axis to Grind: Inside North Korea Film Festival" lands

Check out Canadian premiere screenings of films about and from North
Korea. Find out if there's truth in George Bush's "axis of evil" labelling
of the DPRK, and how this vilification works against the Korean people's
aspirations for ending the 50+ years of war and for the reunification of
the peninsula. Great films including (at 8:30pm) a soccer film about the
greatest upset in World Cup history when North Korea bounced Italy from
the 1966 World Cup. (At 1pm) JSA: Joint Security Area is South korea's top
grossing film about a firefight at the DMZ, and "Beyond the DMZ" made this
past year by Third World Newsreel, the first western documentary crew
allowed into the country. At 7-8:30 a public discussion on "Prospects for
Solidarity with the Korean People" will happen with a brief multimedia
show by Irwin Oostindie from images he shot on both sides of the DMZ.
