Transgender Health Forum

Where:
Ravensong Community Health Centre, 2450 Ontario (near Main & 8th), Vancouver

When:
Thursday, 29th of January 2004 from 7:00 PM until approximately 9:00 PM

Cost: Free

In June 2003, Vancouver Coastal Health launched a new Transgender Health 
Program. The aim of the program is to reduce the barriers experienced by 
trans people and loved ones when trying to find health care. This includes 
the establishment of a formal network of service providers across BC, 
development of education materials for health care providers, and a peer 
counseling program.

Trans people and loved ones have been involved from the start in planning the 
service, and community feedback continues to be important at every step in 
the program's development.

Come to the community forum to get updates on the progress of the THP's 
development and to discuss the status with MSP re funding for gender 
transition procedures (surgery, electrolysis, etc.).

If you need any assistance to be able to fully participate (including ASL or 
other translation, bus tickets, etc.) please contact the Transgender 
Health Program and we'll try to make it happen.
