"Films by Girls" this International Women's Week

Where:
Video In (1965 Main Street)/ SFU Burnaby Campus

When:
Monday, 8th of March 2004 from 6:30 PM until approximately 8:30 PM

Cost: free

Celebrate women this International Women's Week with the SFPIRG "Films by 
Girls" film festival.

Films showcasing women struggling against an unjust system. Including the 
critically acclaimed "Live Nude Girls Unite" which documents 
the amazing story of sex trade workers in the US fighting to organize and form 
a union.   On thursday see "Remote Sensing", a documentary about 
the horror and reality of the sex trafficking of women and children. Support 
local filmmakers by coming to check out short films by local women. With 
shows both on and off campus.

March 8th at Video In (1965 Main Street)6:30-8:30pm shorts by local women in 
partnership with Video In FREE

March 9th at the SFU Burnaby Campus 3:30-5:30pm AQ 3182 "Live Nude Girls 
Unite" FREE

March 10th at the SFU Burnaby Campus 3:30-5:30pm AQ 3005 "Remote 
Sensing" with a speaker to follow FREE

Women's struggle is far from won. Systemic sexism, racism, and other oppressions 
continue to disadvantage women. Spend this year's International
Women's Week recognizing women's empowerment in the fight for a just society. To
